Render Studio Competition
TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Render Studio competition. By registering, paying the entry fee, or submitting any project to the competition, you enter into a binding agreement with Render Studio and agree to comply with these terms as a Participant, Competitor, You, or Team Leader.
1. Eligibility & Registration
1.1. Open worldwide: The Competition is open to architecture students, professional architects, interior designers, and 3D architectural visualization artists from all over the world, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of registration.
1.2. Participation methods: Participation is allowed either individually or as part of a team of up to 4 members maximum.
1.3. Team representative: For team entries, one member must be designated as the "Team Leader". The Team Leader is legally responsible for paying the registration fee, uploading the required files, and receiving the cash prize on behalf of the team members.
1.4. Conflict of interest: Employees of the organizing company, their direct relatives, members of the jury, or official sponsors of the Competition are strictly prohibited from participating.
2. Fees & Payment Policy
2.1. Registration confirmation: Registration is not considered confirmed until the payment has been successfully completed through our approved secure electronic payment gateway.
2.2. Fee structure:
- Early Bird (first month): 65 USD
- Standard (second month): 90 USD
- Late (third / final month): 150 USD
2.3. Non-refundable fees: All registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to exclusion, participant withdrawal, late submission, or any technical issues on the participant's side.
3. Strict Anonymity Policy
3.1. Unique registration code: Upon successful registration, each participant or team will receive a unique registration code (example: #REG-XXXX).
3.2. Display of the code: The unique registration code must be clearly placed on all submitted presentation boards and in file names according to the submission guidelines.
3.3. Immediate exclusion: Any project that contains the names of participants, university logos, company logos, or social media accounts inside the presentation boards or project description will be automatically excluded without prior notice.
4. Submission Guidelines
4.1. Submission deadline: All requirements must be uploaded through the official online submission portal on or before the deadline specified in the competition brief.
4.2. Technical specifications:
- File type and number of boards: A submission must include exactly 3 boards in PDF format, each A1 horizontal size, distributed as follows:
- Board 1: Plans and horizontal projections.
- Board 2: Sections and elevations.
- Board 3: 3D visuals and renders.
- Maximum submission size: 200 MB total for all uploaded files.
- Language: All text and descriptions on the presentation boards must be written in English only.
4.3. Late submissions: The submission portal closes automatically at the deadline. No submissions sent by email or after the deadline will be accepted.
5. Intellectual Property & Publishing
5.1. Participants retain all rights: Participants retain full intellectual property rights and copyrights to their submitted designs and models.
5.2. License to the platform: By submitting a design, participants grant the Company a global, permanent, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and publish the submitted projects in any media, including the website, social media, press releases, digital exhibitions, and printed books.
5.3. Attribution and rights preservation: The Company undertakes to clearly mention the name of the participant or team in all official publications and media coverage.
6. Plagiarism & Originality
6.1. Design originality: The participant guarantees that all submitted designs are their own original work and do not infringe the intellectual property rights or copyrights of any third party.
6.2. Artificial intelligence tools: Participants must disclose the use of any generative AI tools (such as Midjourney or Stable Diffusion) or pre-made assets if required by the competition brief.
6.3. Indemnification: Participants agree to release the Company from liability and indemnify it against any legal claims arising from infringement of third-party intellectual property rights.
7. Judging & Prize Distribution
7.1. Jury panel: Projects are evaluated anonymously, without knowledge of the identity of their authors, by an independent jury selected by the Company.
7.2. Final decisions: Decisions of the jury regarding the shortlist, honorable mentions, and winners are final and may not be appealed or modified.
7.3. Prizes and certificates:
- Prize amounts: The total cash prize value and its distribution for each competition are defined in that competition's brief.
- First, second, and third places: Winners of the top three positions receive the defined cash amounts for that competition, plus accredited achievement and appreciation certificates that can be added to their CV and portfolio.
- Honorable mentions: Official participation certificates, plus publication of the works in the platform's official gallery and on social media.
7.4. Prize transfer mechanism: Cash amounts are transferred to the designated Team Leader via OMT, Wish Money (Lebanon), bank transfer, Wise, or PayPal within 30 days from the official results announcement.
7.5. Taxes and bank fees: Winners bear any financial obligations related to local taxes or international bank transfer deductions.
8. Competition Modifications & Limitation of Liability
8.1. Modifications and postponement: The Company reserves the right to extend deadlines, modify the schedule, or change jury members in the event of unforeseen operational circumstances.
8.2. Force majeure: The Company is not liable for any delay or failure caused by reasons beyond its control, such as natural disasters, global internet outages, or cyberattacks.
8.3. Liability cap: Under no circumstances shall the Company's total financial liability exceed the registration fee paid by the participant.
9. Code of Conduct
9.1. All participants must communicate professionally and respectfully with the support team and members of the jury.
9.2. Any abuse, defamation of the platform on social media, or attempt to influence the jury will result in cancellation of participation and revocation of any awarded prizes or certificates.
10. Identity Verification (KYC)
10.1. The Company reserves the right to request official proof of identity (passport or national ID) from top winners before transferring cash prizes or issuing certificates.
